Prime Minister's Relief for Storm Impacts 1000 to 500
NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Bank of India has been given Rs 1,000 crore in financial aid from Hurricane Katrina.
Following this, Odisha has been given 500 flag relief funds, said PM Modi.
Hurricane Amban in the Bay of Bengal crossed between Bangladesh and the West Bank on May 20.
The West Bengal state-shifting Odisha has suffered major damage due to this storm.
It is noteworthy, however, that all the people were evicted.
The people of the West Coast were also taken to a safe place.
Modi also viewed the total storm damage through Eligapitaire.
However, more than 70 people died. Calcutta went unrecognized by the storm.
Mr Modi also visited the state headquarters to discuss the storm-affected areas.
