What is the current situation?
Tamil Nadu: More than 150 buses have been stranded at the Coimbatore Omni bus stand for the past five months due to the Corona curfew in Tamil Nadu.
One of these buses caught fire at around 12.30pm on a bus owned by a company called Intercity Travels. Following this, those who witnessed the incident immediately informed the police.

More than 50 firefighters in five fire trucks from Ambattur, JJ Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Egmore and Coimbatore arrived at the scene on information provided by the police to the fire department.
By then the fire had completely burnt to ashes about 3 of the buses parked in succession. In addition, two buses began to light slightly.

Following this, more than 50 firefighters immediately evacuated nearby buses for an hour and a half of fighting, then extinguishing the fire and bringing it under complete control.
Pandian, Joint Commissioner, Transport North, Priya Ravichandran, Joint Director, Fire Department and Tennarasu, District Officer, Fire Department rushed to the spot.
