Tamil Nadu: Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl near Krishnagiri Bargur for allegedly raping her under the pretext of marrying her.

Ramakrishnan hails from Ballet School village, Bargur Union, Krishnagiri district.

The girl was abducted

Kandikuppam police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Ajith Kumar, 23, son of Abhimanyan from Kandikuppam village in Sengodi Nagar, had abducted the girl.

Ajit Kumar, who was subsequently arrested, was interrogated and confirmed that he had abducted the girl on the pretext of marrying her and repeatedly raped her in the jungle.

Ajit Kumar was later arrested by the police under the Pocso Act. Police are investigating further.
