Tamil Nadu: 25 senior lawyers have written a letter demanding that actor Surya not be charged with contempt of court.

Surya had posted a statement on his Twitter condemning the conduct of the NEET exam following this.

In the statement, he said that the court, which administers justice through video conference, ordered the students to go and write the exam without fear, as the corona feared for their lives.
Contempt
Judge Subramaniam said it was tantamount to contempt of court and that there was a possibility of filing a contempt of court case against actor Surya.
He also wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of the Chennai High Court in this regard.
