India: With train services set to start after a long hiatus, the fare is currently being hiked. Railway Board Chairman "Yadav Prasanth," said this.
He said there was a small charge for passenger use at major railway stations and a report had been issued in this regard.

It has been reported that only 300 to 1000 stations will be charged for usage. It has been explained that this charge is levied for the development of railway stations and for providing better facilities to the passengers throughout the station.

The train service, which will start after a long day, is being charged for providing basic amenities to the people and quality food hygienic travel.
It is also noteworthy that diesel and petrol prices are currently high. It is in this context that the Railway Department has now decided on the utility charges that can be used by passengers travelling at railway stations.
A major railway stations, where people are more likely to be, this fare is soon to be charged. Thus train ticket prices are also likely to rise at present.
