What happened in the Supreme Court?
Tamil Nadu: The schedule for CBSE Class 10 & 12 re-examinations has now been released.
It has been announced that the CBSE Class 10 examination will be held from September 22 to 28 and the CBSE Class 12 examination will be held from September 22 to 29.
The CBSE administration had announced that the re-sit for students who failed the general examination in Classes 10 and 12 would be held in September.
It said that those who scored lower than expected in certain subjects could also write the exam.
Petitions filed
Petitions had been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the students seeking cancellation of the re-examination in this context.
The trial was preceded by a session chaired by Judge Conwilker, who heard the case.
12 students only
At the time, CBSE lawyer Rupesh Kumar explained that the re-selection was likely to be held in September and that all necessary precautionary arrangements would be made for the students.
He also said that the examination was held in 575 centres last year and this time 1278 centres were organized, with only 12 students sitting in a classroom arranged to write the exam.
Affidavit
After hearing the argument, the judges, headed by Conwilker, ordered the CBSE to file an affidavit on the re-election issue by the 7th and adjourned the next hearing of the case to the 10th.
1.5 lakhs
Following this, it has been announced that the examination for Class 10 for CBSE Classes will be held from September 22 to 28 and for the Class 12 for Class CBSE will be held from September 22 to 29.
