The High Court warns the petitioner
Tamil Nadu: The Chennai High Court has announced that it will dismiss a case filed against landlords for not asking rent from tenants during the current Corona curfew, warning that he will be incarnated.
Chennai Attorney Charles Alexander also said in a welfare petition that the curfew was being enforced during the curfew period.
Rent for one month
The curfew announced by the federal government on March 24 continues, although the federal government ordered on March 29 that landlords should not charge rent for a month from residents during the Corona period.
In pursuance of this order, the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Disaster Management Act have issued an order prohibiting the collection of rent under the Emergency Infection Prevention Act
Do not collect
But most landlords have not asked for rent, collected in a few places, and evicted those who could not afford the rent
In such a situation, it is noteworthy that the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued an order not to collect one month's rent during the outbreak period.
He was, therefore, requesting in the petition that he be ordered not to charge rent during the period of the epidemic.
It will not be a welfare case
A bench of Justices MM Sundaresh and Hemalatha heard the case and said that it was not possible and that the Delhi High Court would dismiss the case.
Following this, the judges said that none of the tenant landlords had come before the court… and the judges said that a welfare case like this could be pursued but this would not be a welfare case
Fined

The petitioner was warned that he would also be fined and in view of this, the hearing of the case was adjourned till tomorrow as the petitioner was asked to adjourn the case till tomorrow.
