Luo Cheng a Chinese national has been charged with money laundering
India: The Enforcement Department has registered a case under the Anti-Money Laundering Act against Luo Chang alias Luo Chang, a Chinese national arrested in connection with a hawala scam worth over Rs 1,000 crore from India.
It is also suspected that Charlie Peng, who lived in India under the name of Luo Chang, saw China. He was arrested a few years ago in that case and was released by the court due to lack of proper evidence.
Fake passport
Charlie Peng is currently embroiled in hawala related matters. Enforcement has now uncovered information that hawala money transfers over Rs 3 crore daily.
The Income Tax Department has arrested 42-year-old Charlie Peng. He has also been arrested in a fake passport case.
ID cards
The Delhi Police, which is the Enforcement Directorate, has registered a money laundering case against him.

He has been involved in hawala money laundering for the last three years. He has obtained the required identity cards in India for this.
He also bought an Indian passport and an Aadhar card in the name of Luo Sang.
Tested in 24 areas
He is said to have transferred more than Rs 3 crore daily with the help of some employees of Bandhan Bank and ICICI Bank. He has also opened bank accounts in more than 40 banks.
The IT side has also been tested on some employees. It is noteworthy that in about 24 areas in Delhi Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, a related test has taken place.
